Southbridge School District Responds to Worcester State University Tragedy
Southbridge, MA – The entire community of Southbridge is deeply saddened by the recent events that unfolded at Worcester State University this past weekend. We recognize that many families within our district have been profoundly affected by this heart-wrenching incident.
In an effort to provide immediate support to our students, Southbridge Public Schools will have counseling staff available on Monday, October 30th. We encourage any student who feels the need for support to reach out and utilize the resources we are offering. Our dedicated team of counselors and mental health professionals are trained to provide guidance, listen with empathy, and offer coping strategies during such challenging times.
Parents and guardians are urged to engage in conversations with their children about their emotions, reminding them that they should seek help if they are struggling.

El Distrito Escolar de Southbridge responde a la tragedia de la Universidad Estatal de Worcester
Southbridge, MA – Toda la comunidad de Southbridge está profundamente entristecida por los reciente que sucedieron en la Universidad Estatal de Worcester el pasado fin de semana. Reconocemos que muchas familias dentro de nuestro distrito han sido profundamente afectadas por este desgarrador incidente.
En un esfuerzo por brindar apoyo inmediato a nuestros estudiantes, las Escuelas Públicas de Southbridge tendrán personal de consejería disponible el lunes 30 de octubre. Alentamos a cualquier estudiante que sienta la necesidad de apoyo a comunicarse y utilizar los recursos que estamos ofreciendo. Nuestro dedicado equipo de consejeros y profesionales de salud mental está capacitado para brindar orientación, escuchar con empatía y ofrecer estrategias para enfrentar en tiempos tan desafiantes.
Se insta a los padres y tutores a entablar conversaciones con sus hijos sobre sus emociones, recordándoles que deben buscar ayuda si están teniendo dificultades.
