About Southbridge Public Schools
Southbridge Public Schools serve approximately 2,200 students in six schools.
Eastford Road Elementary School serves students in Pre-K, Kindergarten, and First Grade.
Charlton Street Elementary School and West Street Elementary School are "neighborhood schools" serving students in grades two through five.
Southbridge Middle School and Southbridge High School are located in the same building structure and share a campus at 132 Torrey Road.
Additionally, Southbridge Academy, located adjacent to the district's central office at 25 Cole Avenue, serves students in grades six through twelve.
The district is presently undergoing extensive turnaround at all levels, with the assistance of the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education. This creates unique opportunities for teachers and students.
One example is a long-term partnership with the University of Connecticut to develop Southbridge Schools as a national demonstration site for successful implementation of PBIS strategies. Additionally, our district is the recipient of a number of significant grants that are allowing us to creatively redesign Secondary School, curriculum enhancements, improved culture and climate and afterschool opportunities for students.
